This course is the first in a series of classes that introduce the student to the 2012 International Mechanical Code’s chapters.

Joist boring, appliance location and protection against damage, appliance in garages, clearance to combustible materials, appliance access, ventilation, exhaust and intake opening location, motors and fans, clothes dryers, range hoods, and commercial grease ducts are all addressed in this class. Changes from the 2009 IMC to the 2012 IMC are highlighted to keep you current. This class is done in an easy to follow and understand format that allows you to take what you learn here and apply it directly to your job sites.


This course is approved for 2 continuing education credits in the State of Alaska for Residential Endorsement Contractors and 2 hours of continuing education mechanical credit for Mechanical Administrators.
