New Construction Inspections
New construction inspections (also called ICBO, ICC, and Code Inspections) are inspections for homes as they are being built. New Construction Inspections are done for bank financing, and certification of a building that it meets minimum code requirements. New construction/code inspections are required on all new homes built after 1991 in the State of Alaska, regardless of the home's location. Existing Home Inspections
Existing home inspections are usually done for a real estate transaction. This is an inspection to report the condition of a home at the time of the inspection, noting any structural, safety, or sanitary deficiencies that are set by national home inspection standards.
