
#301 Advanced Building Science
Course Description: This course is an in-depth look into retrofit, diagnosing moisture/air leakage/heating system problems, understanding heat loss calculations, heat loss flows through building components, pressure differentials, how air moves through holes, moisture/condensation issues, soil temperatures, thermal mass, and introduction to heating system efficiencies.
Prerequisites: This course has prerequisites of Course #111 Building Techniques for Cold Climates OR #190 Building Science for Building Analysts. Upon signing up for this course, your name will be submitted to the class list; however, we will need to check your prerequisites prior to confirming a seat for you in the course.
Free Classes: Some of the dates listed below are free. Upon check-out you will be asked for a $250 deposit. This deposit is a requirement of AHFC and will be refunded in full when you attend the class date you signed up for. If you fail to cancel your seat seven days prior to the start of class, or you fail to attend, you will forfeit your deposit to AHFC. Cancellations may be made here.
