2006 International Residential Code, Part 2

Course Description: This course covers wind and seismic design as prescribed by the 2006 International Residential Code.  Also covered are the requirements of the SBCCI SSTD 10-99 for high wind zones found along Alaska's coastal communities.  Sheer wall placement, bracing and other seismic and wind considerations for building in Alaska are covered in this class. This course does not focus on changes from the 2003 to the 2006 International Residential Code as most of this class covers requirements from the SBCCI SSTD 10-99.
