Wisdom and Associates, Inc. is a private corporation on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula providing inspections, energy ratings, indoor air quality investigations, and continuing education programs for the construction industry for over 19 years.

Our inspection services include both new construction and existing property inspections. For new construction or code compliance inspections, we certify that buildings meet minimum building code standards for both residential and commercial projects. For real estate transactions, we inspect existing properties for compliance with national structural, safety, and sanitary guidelines. All inspectors are certified in multiple disciplines by the International Code Council and all of our practicing existing property inspectors are also full members of the American Society of Home Inspectors.

Our energy rating services include on site testing and consultation for energy related matters. We can certify that a home meets Alaskan standards for both thermal and ventilation compliance in both new and existing structures.

Wisdom & Associates, Inc.'s indoor air quality services include sick house or building investigations which can include continuous monitoring of CO, CO2, ultra fine particles, radon, and relative humidity. We can also test for contaminants in a home including, but not limited to, lead and asbestos. Wisdom & Associates, Inc.'s indoor air quality investigations have been recognized statewide as using leading edge technology. Their 350 page report on a study funded by the Cold Climate Housing Research Center in the winter of 2003 will be published for the public in the near future.

Continuing education programs include courses on building codes, mechanical codes, plumbing codes, building science, ventilation design and installation, and other building related topics. These are designed to meet continuing education needs for residential contractors, plumbing and mechanical administrators, home inspectors, and education for general crew training.
